This past Saturday, rookie powerhouse Atlanta United set the record for the largest MLS crowd in the history of the league with 70,425. Now if that’s not impressive enough, the sellout crowd bumped the 2017 season average for Atlanta to 47,926.
Let’s put that into perspective.
The crowd size ranked #4 in the entire globe for soccer attendance over the weekend.
What’s even more, Atlanta United would have ranked in the top half of all NFL games attended over the same weekend.
