To cap off a memorable run through the 2017 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, FC Cincinnati and its raucous fans gave us one final night to remember at Nippert Stadium. Despite losing in heartbreaking fashion to the New York Red Bulls, the fans in Cincinnati showed us yet again why their city is one of the frontrunners for an MLS expansion team.
33,250 fans screamed, cheered, cried and celebrated during the 3-2 defeat last week. The weeknight match drew the second largest U.S. Open Cup crowd in history, falling short by only a couple thousand to the 2011 final in Seattle.
So while the cinderella story has come to a close, let’s look at some of the best sites and sounds from their final game (*please excuse the language).

We’ll never forget ya Cincy!
No, seriously, we won’t. Because you crazy Cincinnati fans will likely be gracing our television screens during an MLS game in the near future.
