Hundreds of US fans made the trek to Mexico City for the biggest rivalry in North America.


A great indicator of the growth of soccer in the U.S. is the fan representation at away matches. Whether it’s a handful of people watching a U.S. Women’s friendly match in Norway or hundreds of American Outlaws following the U.S. teams during World Cup qualifying, these all play a part in the evolution of the sport.

And there is no greater away location for U.S. fans than Estadio Azteca in Mexico City. This is, without a doubt, the most notorious, hostile environment for a U.S. soccer match.
