FourFourTwo just came out with their toughest places to play in the MLS and both Kansas City and Orlando fans should take a bow.
While the writers disagree on the MOST difficult, they both agree that the atmospheres in Kansas City and Orlando are unmatched. As FourFourTwo explains it:
- “Sporting KC fans are among the most passionate in the league, and they’ve had to endure some tough times over the years…They’ve turned their home into “Blue Hell,” creating an atmosphere as intense as you’ll find in Portland or Orlando…”
- “I spent three and a half years living in Orlando, a year-plus of which was spent covering Orlando City. I had conversations with players and coaches after games. I’ve heard them tell me first-hand how much they hated playing in Orlando — how damn hard it was. And that was before a new stadium opened with the fans right on top of you and The Wall rising up behind one goal.”
We agree wholeheartedly with the leaders. Especially on the heels of a night where the Orlando fans willed their team to a draw despite being down two men.
